About the Pilot

The Collaborative Consignment Shop is a short-term pilot designed to support local creatives, makers, and small businesses by offering shared retail space in a low-risk, community-driven environment.

This pilot will run April–May and feature up to 20 curated vendors. The goal is to test a collaborative retail model that provides visibility, sales opportunities, and shared operational support while keeping overhead accessible.

Vendors will:

• Participate in a shared retail space

• Contribute to shared overhead expenses

• Receive 75% of sales (25% commission supports staffing, space, marketing, and operations)

• Maintain a small but consistent inventory

• Be required to cover (a min number) shifts on weekdays, evenings and weekends.

This pilot is designed for makers and creatives who are ready to sell, collaborate, and grow alongside other local entrepreneurs.

 Participation Commitment

This pilot requires shared responsibility.

Are you able to:

• Participate in shared overhead expenses. (contingent upon # of vendors- estimated range $75-$160 shelf fee per month)

• Agree to a 25% commission on sales

• Cover or assist with some weekend hours or activations

• Provide shelving and display structures (bins, baskets, etc- beyond what is provided on the bus) for personal display.

• Set up your display and renew, rotate or restock inventory
